Letter to anyone who’s been solicited/traumatized, or parents of teens by somebody they met online,

Do you know why you were solicited online? Well because you were naive to the minimal dangers of the internet. I say minimal because these dangers could be easily avoided. If you were solicited on Myspace or something similar to that , did you accept somebody as your friend and get to know them well? You probably did. I am not saying there’s a problem with that, but you probably tried to meet the person and/or give them your full name and address. That’s what makes us different; I am not naive enough to give out my address. I given out my name before but a lot of people have my name, so it would be difficult to find me.


Also the person you talked to probably gave you dubious information. So you might think your are talking to 17 year old female, but in reality you could be talking to a 40 year old man waiting to rape you, when the opportunity has ripened. So if you are asking yourself. How I prevent a predator from aggressively, violently, sadistically, brutally attacking me. I’d say just think before you act. It could change your world.


In the down run if you’re really scared of somebody soliciting you, your safest bet is to not have a Myspace. He are other things you should you know while on the internet; don’t give out too much information to your online friends. If you’re a minor with a Myspace, then you probably shouldn’t give out personal information. Here is some information for the parents of teens; is your child bad? Then you probably shouldn’t let them have a profile. You should always know what your child is doing, it could save their life. If your child was breastfed, they’re probably smart enough to handle their own profile, just like me! Your child can probably have a Myspace around 7th grade. Finally, did you ever tell your child not to talk to strangers, if not… you should.

10 things to prevent getting attacked by a predator.

1. Don’t give out too much info
2. If you really want to meet with the person meet at a public place w/ a lot of people
3. If you’re really scared of sexual predator, just don’t have a Myspace, imeem, facebook, etc.
4. You can be friends with people you don’t know, just don’t talk to them often.
5. Don’t lie.
6. Don’t tell the truth
7. Don’t do drugs
8. Go outside
9. Get a job.

Myspace....

All the articles about myspace just talked about how they were at least 29k registered sex offenders on myspace. It also talked about how adolescents are at risk from these sex offenders. These numbers of registered sex offenders on my space did not surprise me because I bet they’re a lot men who can’t get sex from Adult people so they have to resort to minors, I as well watch the show “Dateline NBC’s To Catch a predator” and that’s where all the sex offenders come from, like myspace, yahoo, etc.

I personally don’t feel the kids are at risk because on Myspace, if you put your age as 14 or 15 Myspace automatically makes your profile private to people, who aren’t your friends on the site. All the kids on myspace should know not to talk to people that they don’t know, it’s like the first thing your parents tell you “Don’t talk to strangers”. I say if these kids are too stupid to get solicited by a sex offender and their parents are not involved in their kids life to even know what they are doing are their own computer, then they deserve to get kidnapped by a sexual predator, raped and what not.

I also think Myspace shouldn’t be able to take registered sex offenders off of Myspace because of what they done in the past, they “might” be changed people. Myspace might as well take everybody who they find is a threat to Myspace, which probably be more than half of their community. Besides there are probably millions of unregistered sex offenders on Myspace, so getting rid of the registered sex offenders, they might be making it easier for the unregistered sex offenders to get to minors

Dear Al Gore,

My name is Odessa and just like you I am a fellow environmentalist. I am sending you this letter because I know that you are conscious of global warming and the effects that may be a result of global warming. I also know that your movie “An

Inconvenient Truth” attained $45,000,000 in the box office, so I know you probably had a major impact on at least half of the people who saw the movie. Basically this letter is to convince you to do more than what you’re doing now, because I’ve read your blogs on your website and how you went to Live Earth to raise awareness, but I think some of those things you do are not the essential precautions to take against global warming.

This is why you should be more unrelenting to do more things about global warming: In early January, in Washington D.C (where I live and where you were born) it got all the way up to 72 degrees on January 6^th for the whole day. I don’t think that’s mere coincidence, do you? Although here are some things I think you can do to alleviate global warming, I think you could invest some or money into cars that don’t use gasoline, start enhancing on those machines that can create ozone, etc. If you’re saying to yourself that none of this could be reality, this is how it could… run for president in the 2008 election! You almost won in the 2000 election so it never hurts to try again. I believe if you did become the president you could bring Global Warming to an end, and repair everything the Bush Administration has done over the past 8 years.

To conclude my letter, I just hope you do more things in America than you do in other countries because this country is yours is more important, and do some more things to prevent Global warming, I think you becoming president would really help you with that goal. Global Warming...

Have you heard of Global warming? If so, do you know what causes it? Do you know what it does? If not, this is a good place to start.

Global Warming is a phenomenon that has been occurring since around the mid 20^th century. Global Warming is caused by massive amounts of carbon emissions and greenhouse gases, if you do not know where carbon comes from, here are some good examples: Cars, lawn mowers and humans naturally emit carbon. There are a plethora of cars running, lawn mowers, and humans emitting carbon everyday.

When all this carbon is emitted it is gradually destroying the ozone layer, which most life needs to survive the sun’s callous waves that may give you skin cancer or waves that just kill you completely. Now that you know what it is and what it does, I am going to go in depth about global warming. Scientists from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) can tell Global warming is in full effect. (From the NOAA official website) The NOAA says that the first 6 months of 2007 were warmer and had less precipitation than the average for the U.S. Actually, you may have noticed some of the changes, for example, have the winters where around you live been shorter or warmer or not as much snow around where you live? In January, around D.C (where I live.) it got to be 80 degrees, very rare temperatures for D.C in the winter. All of that I mentioned is “probably” caused by some of the ozone loss, but then again, it could be sheer coincidence.

If you think not having a winter is bad, here are some more changes that could come into fruition, as a result of global warming: more extreme storms like Hurricane Katrina (Some storms may get so terrible that they may have to give the storm higher than level 5), melting of polar ice caps (If the ice caps melt then some of our beaches will be gone), ponds and lakes (like the great lakes for example) possibly drying up into nothingness(with no bodies of water that means no fish) and other ghastly things of that nature.

So what can you do to ease global warming? You can not drive your car as much (ride a bus or train or ride a bike) mow your lawn once in a blue moon, and basically don’t do anything that emits a lot of carbon and/or gases. If you would do those things, you would be really helping the future generations to come…and Earth as well.
